Accountability and Transparency
Since taking office in 2005, Governor Gregoire and her administration have been leaders in advancing accountability and transparency to citizens. In addition to following accountability requirements of the Recovery Act, we are continuing to lead the way in making our business accountable, accessible, and available to Washington citizens.
Certifications
Governor Gregoire is certifying those projects that are both appropriate to receive and prepared to successfully implement federal recovery funding. This certification is necessary for the projects to receive funding and is a key component of the Recovery Act’s accountability process. Click here to see the certifications.
State Agency Recovery Plans
Governor Gregoire requested early recovery plans from state agencies for determining how funds would be used strategically, tracked, managed, accounted for, and publicly reported.
Reporting Publicly on Recovery Funding Results
Governor Gregoire is using the award-winning accountability forums and Government Management Accountability and Performance process to publicly monitor state agency performance in using economic recovery dollars wisely.
Communicating Results to Citizens
Governor Gregoire issues regular reports to the public that focus on the progress and results of the Recovery Act in Washington state.
